Margaret Atwood said, “Instead of thinking that nature is this huge bank that we can just, this endless credit card that we can just keep drawing on, we have to think about the finite nature of that planet and how to keep it alive so that we too may remain alive. I think Jesus told this parable to make a point that charging interest is bad especially when they are poor. The fact that bankers with a lot of money would continue to pursue the interest after the initial sum has already been payed off is ridiculous.
