         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sometime in 1619, A slave ship took people from Africa and trapped them on a boat. Almost half of the slaves died before the ship was seized by two English pirate ships. The slaves that were still alive were taken to Point Comfort.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1832 Rhoda Phillip was sold along  with her mother, Milley, and her sister Martha. Her and her family were sold for $550. The person who bought them was Thomas Gleaves. She was enslaved by him till the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863. He also bequeathed her into his family under his will, where she was listed for a $200 value.</div>]]></description>

After 2 years had passes she had to flee because of a Portuguese attack. Portuguese was trying to colonize Angola to acquire more people for the slave trade.</div>]]></description>
