For education, this is evaluations. It simply isn't feasible for all sessions to be evaluated, and it also isn't especially meaningful data in the current format. We also never get feedback based on this data.

Flexibility will definitely be needed around which day outreach teams take as the 'non working day', possibly Mondays. This is due to the requirement to carry out health promotion events during evenings and at weekends. Generally, I see this working really well for office based teams but being tricky for outreach and clinical teams. Looking forward the pilot though.

I feel Brook is a great place to work currently given the flexibility and culture we currently adopt, so this added initiative is icing on the cake. I am very proud of being part of such an innovative and caring organisation! Great work and will defo be putting my full effort behind making this work! :)

clinical front line staff may struggle to see how this benefits clinical delivery, with so many of them being part time and in entirely client facing roles; budgets already require very efficient working and there are existing challenges around protected time for training and development. We will need strong messaging to make this feel an equitable offer.

This sounds fantastic if you are full time admin worker with flexibility. However, in reality this is discriminating those on lower contracts.
-Those on 30 hours will be working the same hours as those on 37.5 hours on less pay - this could lead to tensions and divisions in the team.
-Those on 15 hours aren't getting any benefit at all.
-Most of the staff are mainly part time already as they've found working full time challenging around their lives and this has improved their wellbeing- can these people up their contracts to 37.5 hours so they benefit from a payrise and less hours.
-Giving more annual leave is not a fair swap for reduced hours. Everyone no matter what their hours should be offered: a cut in the percent of their hours for the same pay, the option to work full time on decreased hours or take the annual leave. Some people need more time off, some people need more money.
- Only full time staff will have their work load decreased as it will put more pressure on those having to pick up their work.
- We already struggle to give everyone their annual leave let alone give more
- we already struggle to meet commissioned clinics let alone reduce staffing to cover this further.
- Will staffing budgets increase to cover the loss of clinical cover
- By offering staff to work a day less, who will pick up their tasks for the day, we can't run clinics more efficiently. Our patient load and workload is increasing, by reducing staffing this is only going to increase the workload on working days.
- No evidence of this being a successful pilot in a health care setting

Would love to see it fair for all and with comissioners on board.
Struggling to manage patient expectations already so would need more staffing and increased flexibility from those we hire rooms from.

While this is indeed an exciting project with the best of intentions behind it - It will result in a two tier workforce with a dual payscale with full time staff working 30 hours per week receiving a higher hourly rate than part time staff. This will also impact those part time staff with management responsibilities who will then be paid a lower hourly rate than their full time team members. In my situation I would be paid £1/hr less as a Team Lead than my full time team members. An extra 4 days a year annual leave will not even bring me to an equal footing in pay and is not an incentive to continue working with the additional management responsibilities. I could do less and be paid more.

My question is whether this will this lead to a long term reduction/ stagnation in pay rises? Will the 4 day week mean that salaries remain the same/ increase more slowly than the market and therefore Brook staff in the future won't earn the equivalent of a 4 day working week, but actually more like a 4 day part-time wage?

However, I would like to know does this mean we wouldn't receive a pay rise in the future ? the cost of living is going up and although this will give us more time to feel free, less stressed, possibly even happier - I do have money worries, this extra day allows me to have the opportunity to try new things but this will cost more money. Its great to have a day back but we are still doing the same work in 4 days and I believe we can play for this but if this means we wouldn't get a pay rise for 5 years but this be worth it ?

This is effectively a 20% reducing in staffing. It would be a great idea if we had the budget (and associated staff) to implement it properly (although it would still be difficult to recruit sexual health trained staff). We could consider implementing it more slowly in stages – for example, starting with a 10% reduction in hours, which would be easier to manage, and build up to 20% as we adapt our staffing model and budgets.

Clinical staff hours are determined by clinic times which are determined by Commissioner contracts – frontline staffing levels are therefore based on these. We will need 20% more budget for clinical frontline staff so that we can continue to meet our contractual obligations. Our admin and management/office staff would not need increased staffing budget as they would reduce their hours. This way we don’t breach contracts.
