         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The Netherlands Government ruled the colony from 1816 to 1941, before the Japanese occupation which lasted until 1945. An Independent republic, Indonesia, was proclaimed on 17 August 1945.<br>2. Jan Pieterszoon Coen led the invasion of the Dutch east indies aka Indonesia.<br>Facts:<br>1. Traces of Dutch influences in Indonesia include Dutch origin loanwords in Indonesian and cuisine. Some Indonesian dishes have been adopted and, in turn, influenced Dutch cuisine. Though cultural relations are no longer strong, Christianity in Indonesia was a result of proselytisation by mainly Dutch missionaries.<br>2.&nbsp;<br>During the 18th century, the Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie (abbreviated VOC) established itself as an economic and political power on the island of Java after the collapse of the Mataram Sultanate.<br>3.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The Budi Utomo lasted from 1908 and disbanded on 1935 one decade before Indonesia got its independence.<br>2. Dr. Sutomo founded Budi Utomo with the other students of School tot Opleiding van Inlandsche Artsen or STOVIA.<br>Facts:&nbsp;<br>1. One of the factors that contributed to the slow start of the Budi Utomo movement was that this organization did not prioritize the interests of the common people because it focused on the priyayi.</div><div>2. Budi Utomo also changed the struggle which was regional in nature to become national in nature. Finally, Boedi Oetomo has initiated one of the most important things, namely to raise the national spirit to achieve an independent Indonesia. National Awakening Day 2021: Arise!<br>3.          <title>Indonesia Independence Day 1945</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Indonesian Independence Day, known locally as Hari Merdeka, is observed annually on August 17 to celebrate their declaration of independence from Dutch colonization in 1945.<br>2. On the morning of 17 August, to commemorate Independence Day, the national Flag Hoisting Ceremony takes place at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta hosted by the president of Indonesia accompanied by the vice-president to reenact the declaration of independence proclaimed by President Sukarno in 1945, held at 10.00 AM.<br>Facts:<br>1. The President of Indonesia delivers his State of the Nation Address on August 16. To begin the Hari Merdeka celebration, the flag is hoisted at the National Palace amidst lots of formal ceremonies and military pageantry.<br>2.The Indonesian Proclamation of Independence was read in Jakarta at the private home of Sukarno Sosrodihardjo—the future president—on the morning of August 17, 1945, in front of a crowd of around 500 people, Japan had just announced its surrender to the Allies two days earlier.<br>3.
