A story has the power to move people in a particular direction. The truth is often elusive because it either is not what people want to hear, not what someone wants the people to hear, or would cause other issues. People often believe things they want to believe and not what the reality is because the reality can be hard to grasp. Many stories are tweaked to catch the attention of the reader by giving them something they want to hear. To get someone to follow something, they must believe in what they are following. Sometimes, a coverup is used to prevent losing credibility, or to trick people into a cause. Many stories have a bias toward something. The story would therefore be tweaked to display a negativity toward that thing. If it is found that the story is not telling the truth, people would rethink reading that source.

The story behind the documentary, The Witness, impacted the whole world greatly. The story brought the “bystander effect” into the public’s mind. News stories like this one are so powerful because they inform people of things happening around the world, but the truth is they are sometimes false. The truth can be so elusive because the news reporters often lie to sell more papers or get more views. As you can see the documentary, The Witness, opened the eyes of many people to not always believe of what the news tells us.

People’s brains can be easily manipulated just be reading a story that make no sense, but our brain interprets it very differently. In the story “ The 38 Witness” the new reporter manipulated the story. Frank went to interview multiple people and found out that people did call the cops, and it that there were actually 67 or so more witness. “The New York's Times” reporter was probably writing about 38 of the people that heard it but did not see it. This relates to the USA executive branch of government when talking about immigrants. Mr Trump believes undocumented aliens are the people that are causing terrorism when in reality all the terrorist acts weren't done by aliens. Not putting his hand on his heart and thinking that not everyone's the same. Making others believe we are aliens the cause of terrorist.

The stories of the world are powerful and the truth can be so elusive. For example people tell you what someone else said but it wasn’t really true. A few years ago I was really good friends with Harry, we fooled around making fun of each other. One day someone told me that he was talking behind my back and didn’t want to be my friend anymore. The next day I confronted him and I asked him if he was talking behind my back and he replied, “No”. Then I said, “Why did someone tell me that you were?” and he said, “Who?” and I told which person and he said, “He just wants people to fight each other by telling lies”. And I didn’t know so I apologized to Harry and he said “ it’s fine.” This story shows that people often tell lies to make people do what they want. You shouldn’t always believe everything people tell you.

people can easily be motivated to believe that something false can be real. with the story about the 38 that saw a murder it was believed that they all witnessed the murder when they only heard it. and "no one called the police" was just not true. people only like conflict and not the truth

What is the truth? Not what is the definition of truth but when you ask a question, and expect the right answer, do you get it? What is the honest truth to your curiosities? How much of what you think you know is actually, in fact the truth, or more importantly, what isn't? You see the actual truth is, the truth, is like a POW or a magician's assistant. It can be taken, hidden, diluted, manipulated, changed, and/or discarded. What makes things worse, is we do it to ourselves. We are the magicians that hide the truth from ourselves like some sick version of hide and seek where there are no winners and the game never ends, but what is the curtain where we hide the truth from ourselves?

Stories are what we do to ourselves; that and laziness. Just think, do you listen to every news station, and fact check everything that is said, or do we just trust everything that is said by our favorite news anchors and our favorite journalists? Is this because we like listening to those who agree with our political views or is it because we just don't have the time nor the will to look into what is fed to us? We just blindly trust the same people to give to us the information we either want to hear, or are to lazy to look up for ourselves.  This brings up another reason, the media themselves. Knowing that we are blindly giving them there trust there is little risk for  mistakes so the incentive to fact check everything that they are putting out is minimal. Going off of first impressions seems good enough, not to mention that they can also be more concerned about getting the views and ratings they need by means of giving the people what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear. The media has become more of a professional blog post about cute animals and feel-good stories and platforms for people to share their political, social, and religious views upon the public. This encourages those who share those same personal views to watch those stations and reject other ones. This makes it so that the same people who make us feel good are also the ones who give us information. People stick to their cliques and leaves little room for debate and logical evolution. This is not to say that the people you trust are wrong, but they, I can promise you, are not always right. Nobody is and that is why it is your job to fact check them, be their critiques, this way they are more inclined to do more research, take more time on their stories, to make them documentaries instead of fables. Not to mention, by being your own investigator, you are getting the information for yourself. You are even more educated on the subject than if you watched their story and they were 100% right. Just be sure that you are checking your sources and making sure they are credible.

Frightening stories impacting many lives into our society and the world. Many times the truth is difficult to find. For example in my own life experiences when I was in Kingston High School I meet very important person she was guidance counselor advisory bilingual for spanish community. She was those kind person always willing give hand anyone who needs. She work many years at schools then she hear offered better position in work justice center because she was doing great job she accepted. In the beginning 2017 in the summer regrettably I hear the she was kill by her husband. Unbelievable how the happened the people the we love is taken away. Schools, work justice center people wonder Why? How? When? Where? Who? many questions. Is very difficult to define an answer. There is no words to describe how we feel. As you can see these is an example how the truth is elusive. There wasn't witness because her house was in the forest and there wasn’t neighbors around the house. The truth is difficult to find because is only little evidence.
