I am Filipino, and my mom and dad are both Filipino. I am proud to say this makes me Who I Am. Since I remember as a little kid, I have been taught the Filipino culture. The culture and the place itself have had a massive impact on my life today after 18 years. I love being a part of this culture and experiencing everything that plays into it, especially the food.

Traveler

My first time traveling and being on a plane was when I was six months old. This started my love for traveling and a journey that would last a lifetime. The Philippines will always hold a special place in my heart for traveling. It will always be my favorite destination to travel and experience the living life. Growing up, I have traveled for many sports, vacations, birthdays, and family reunions, all holding terrific memories. Traveling has been one of my favorite things through all the bad and good experiences. I still love it, and it makes me who I am. It has widened my perspective on other cultures and allowed me to experience a different type of adrenaline.

My family is the best thing that I will ever have in my life. They play a significant role in my life and are the biggest influences in my life. I am close with my family, specifically my mom's side. They are the only ones who have known me my whole life or I’ve known my entire life. Let’s just say we have all been through a lot and seen us go through many different phases of life. They have shaped the individual I have become in good and bad ways. They are the only people who genuinely know me. I love my family, and they will always be the most influential people in my life. And they have made me who I am.

Sports

Softball, baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and even cheering, I have experienced it all. My family partakes in all of it and thrives for it. I was brought to games from when I was born, and when I got old enough, I cheered at the games. At my sister’s softball games, I was their biggest fan. I was standing behind the fence, yelling and cheering. I even tracked the score, outs, and innings of the game. I always thrived to be in the game and feel like I was actually in the game. I was the same person in my brother's baseball games and became the little sister to all my brother's baseball friends. Their passion for the sport influenced my love of cheering them on, and when I was old enough to play, I started to play softball. That became who I am. It was like the only thing about me for the longest time. It’s all I did and all I cared about hobby-wise. It was a game that I loved to play and significantly impacted my life and who I am today.

Mental Health

It was seventh grade when my perspective on life changed. I was brought into a new world of bullying and the emotions of mental health. Ever since that, life has taken a turn, and I experienced a tremendous amount of trauma that reflected on my mental health. I learned a lot about mental health, and it made me realize that there are a lot of mental health side symptoms that go on in the family. I have noticed some personal experiences have changed my whole perspective on life.
