Copyright is taking somebody's else's work without their permission to use it. This is a problem because taking someone's else work discredits them and their hard work. An example of copyright is using someone's full song and not crediting them or asking for permission.

Fair use allows some pieces of other people creations under certain circumstances, and you don't need to ask for permission. However, there is a couple things that need to be considered before using someone else's work. These include Purpose and Character of Use, the Nature of the Copyrighted, the Amount and Sustainability of Portion Used, and Effect of Use on Potential Market. These all need to be considered before.

What is Creative Commons?

Creative commons makes the asking for permission for copyright use easier and faster. Creative commons helps the creator and the users communicate if they are able to sue their work. It helps the users understand if their work is legal. There are different symbols that have different meanings. The symbol of the money with a line over it means only noncommercial uses are permitted so no one is able to make money off of someone else's work. The equal sign symbol means no one can make changes to the original work. The arrow going in a circle means that someone is able to change your work, but their version needs to be shared under the same license as yours.

Attribution is sharing details and giving credit to the creator. You need to include Title of the work, author or creator, source of the image or material, and include which creative commons license it falls under. However not every piece of work needs an attribution. This is because they fall under the Creative Commons zero license.
