Emotions: Frustrations linked to I.T issues, and stress when access to I.T - Delius, Oasys and the HDC portal are not working and there are deadlines to meet. Feelings of relief and satisfaction when tasks are completed and you are in the 'green' with your work-load management tool. I feel a sense of contentment, and happiness . sense of achievement when seeing positive changes in our service users lives. Enjoyment of being given a challenge and working through it. Particularly when you observe the emotions of service users change from reluctance to engage, being guarded - not motivated and then slowly you start to see the real person behind the hard persona, and when supervision sessions and RAR work really gets to the root of the problem. Its always hard to see service users upset and tearful. However, I would rather see people connect to true emotions, than the anger that many service users seem more comfortable in expressing.

It's also worth noting how discontent in the workplace and work stress can have a negative impact on staff moral and affect the motivation of other team members in the office; especially as many of us now work in open-plan office environments.
