What makes this book said is that the dog gets lost and keeps on trying to find his way home. What makes this a happy book is at the end the dog max finds  his way home. And the owner is so said when max gets lost so he keeps on going in the woods trying to find him . And when they re unite together they are so  happy and that made me happy to. This makes me happy because the dog comes home and it is just so cute when the dog comes home to the boy because the boy almost starts to cry.
