In the scene, the characters are Jody, Billy Buck, Gabilan, and the boys at Jody’s school. After Jody receives his horse, all he wants to do it show him off. However, it is too difficult to bring the horse all the way to the school. Instead, Jody brings his friends over after school to meet Gabilan. The boys begin admiring the horse along with Jody and gain more respect again. His friends try to persuade him to ride the horse. Unfortunately, Gabilan is too young to be taken out for a ride. After seeing the horse along with the saddle, each boy is speechless and is eager for a ride. Jody then explains how Gabilan at the moment is not trained but says by Thanksgiving he will be ready and trained. When the boys leave, Jody spends time with his new horse and is very thankful for him.

Jody: Come on guys! This way!
Jody: Here he is guys! This is my new horse, Gabilan.
Boys: That is such a cool horse! I've never seen anything like that.
Friends: Whyn’t you ride him? Whyn’t you braid his tail with ribbons like in the fair? When you going to ride him?
Boys:Chill out!
Jody: He’s not old enough. Nobody can ride him for a long time. I’m going to train him on the long halter. Billy Buck is going to show me how.
Billy Buck: That's right Jody! I'll teach you everything you need to know.
Friends: Well, can’t we even lead him around a little?
Jody: He isn’t even halter broke. Come and see the saddle. Here's the saddle! It's so cool right.
Friends: Wow that’s so cool!
Jody: It isn’t much use in the brush. It’ll look pretty on him though. Maybe I’ll ride bareback when I go into the brush.
Friends: How you going to rope a cow without a saddle horn?
Jody: Maybe I’ll get another saddle for every day. My father might want me to help him with the stock. 
Friends: I wish I could get a pony! I have so much more respect for you, Jody!
Daniela/Elizabeth: The end!
