I loved seeing the methods quadrant and being exposed to different research methods. Photovoice is very cool to me. I realize now that some of the research I've enjoyed most has used something similar to photovoice. I just never heard the term before now

Really enjoying how the discussions around including diverse forms of knowledge is linking up with my core study where we have been looking at the dominance of western (climate) science and the implications this has in co-producing research (Agencies/Organisations & local groups) for policy interventions - this section gave a lot of detail on where these interactions could fall short in practice/how to mitigate this.

Positionality is a critical aspect to consider when embarking on a PhD journey. The pursuit of a doctoral degree can often feel overwhelming, as it involves delving into uncharted territories where uncertainties abound. Your own unique experiences and perspective inevitably influence the path you take in your research.

Maintaining a high level of critical thinking throughout the research process and self-reflection is essential. Personally, I find that this endeavor requires an iterative approach to thinking and problem-solving. The PhD journey is laden with persistent challenges that emerge along the way, necessitating a continual process of reframing issues without inadvertently introducing personal biases into potential solutions.
