  • Josephine and her father live two different lives. Her father is a senior employee and is well respected in his office. He doesn't have anything to worry about and life seems easier for him. Josephine, on the other hand, lives with struggle. She could've chosen to live a lavish life with her father but she chose to be independent instead

Josephine worries lot about the future, and she travels by bus as she is concerned about global warming. She pays for her university - she even needs to pay back the university loan. She lives in a small rented flat. 

    Her father drives his own big car. He didn't have to pay for further education because it was all free in his day. He has a lot of money. He doesn't worry about his future. He will be living a life of luxury on the beaches of southern Spain when he's 65. He will have bought a villa in Marbella by the time he retires.

    2. Yes. Because she is too young to be thinking about things like house prices. She should be thinking about her study so that she graduates on time with good grades and she can get a nice job. Then, she will earn a lot of money. 

    3. I think is Josephine's father's generation. Because life was much easier, for example we didn't have to pay for further education.

    4. The way of thinking between my parents and myself is very different. My mother can gradually accept the way of thinking of the current generation of children.
