I began with changing my lesson outcomes and made it S.M.A.R.T then I started to write the activities in more understandable way also I wrote it in details.          <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Are the teaching strategies and practices to be implemented during the lesson appropriate to achieve the learning outcomes.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>The teaching strategies and practices are very appropriate to achieve the learning outcomes because in the shapes and numbers lesson students need to understand the concept and spot the differences between every shape and every number, so when they solved the different activities that had cognitive thinking skills and critical thinking skills they have acknowledged the concept. In grade 2 the students thinking become more structured and logical, they continue to be quite concrete (MSEd, 2023). The learning outcomes were achieved the reason to that is the students understood the lesson very clearly and they were enjoyed while doing the activities.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>How did you know that the prepared 3 activities are 1. Developmentally-appropriate, 2. Differentiated, 3. Integrated, and 4. Hand-on Minds-on? </strong></p><p><br/></p><p>In activity 1 - challenging: the activity was<em> </em><strong><em>developmentally appropriate</em> </strong>for students because they used they developed their cognitive skills and critical thinking when they solved it. first because they counted second because they were distracted by the colors of the numbers that are the same as the shapes so some students could see the color and match, that is why they developed their critical skills when they concentrated very well. I knew that it was <strong><em>differentiated</em></strong><em> </em>because students supported and benefited one another. Some student found it hard so he used his classmate help by letting him explain it to him. That showed that students support and collaborate together in their learning experiences. <strong><em>Integrated</em> </strong>with<strong> </strong>colors and classifying which is an art lesson, student should focus on the shapes and the numbers but the colors could distract them. This activity is more minds on, students used their mind when they were matching and noticing the differences. </p><p><br/></p><p>In activity 2 - higher level: there are two activities one for the shapes and the other for the numbers, it was <strong><em>developmentally appropriate</em></strong> for both first the numbers because it developed their cognitive skills when they were counting, the shapes it developed their creativity and imagination and the reason to that is students tried to do the shapes by using a wooden sticks so every child used their imagination and their creativity. it was <strong><em>differentiated</em></strong>, teacher monitored the students progress and gave feedback to their work. However the first activity that is about counting was <strong><em>not integrated</em></strong> with any subject but the other one is <strong><em>integrated</em></strong> with the art subject because students drew the shapes and colored it. students used hand on more first when they counted they counted with their hands then when they used the sticks to build the shapes. </p><p><br/></p><p>In activity 3 - medium: first activity that is about the shapes is <strong><em>developmentally appropriate </em></strong>due to children matching the shapes with the real world object. When connecting the reality with the lesson, students' development of better content knowledge and skills in critical thinking can be encouraged and assisted by incorporating connection between lessons and real-world situations and experiences.(<em>Connections to Real-World Experience - Pedagogy That Aids Transition for Higher-Ed Students</em>, 2022). The second activity was <strong><em>developmentally appropriate </em></strong>when students played the jigsaw puzzle, the play fosters relationships and trust, which promotes teamwork and cooperation. Through using of creative strategies and problem-solving techniques, play also fosters creativity and innovative thinking. (Miller, 2021).  both activities were <strong><em>differentiated </em></strong>because they meet the interests and the abilities of the students. <strong><em>Integrating</em></strong> real world and play with the activities. The activities were both mind and hands on. </p><p><br/></p><p>In activity 4 - low level: Matching the numbers with the names also matching the name of the shape with the pictures, <strong><em>developmentally appropriate </em></strong>because it developed the linguistic skills for the students. <strong><em>differentiated </em></strong>because it is for the different level and it meets their understanding. It is a mind on activity.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>How does stretch and challenge activity/task promote students’ deeper learning and enhance performance in math.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>It encourages critical thinking so it helps the child in the math when he solves problems also challenge activity makes the students think deeply and help him think from all the angles. Furthermore, it fosters the child confidence, they be confident in their ability so it makes them want to complete every math problem. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong>How will the activities support in achieving the lesson outcomes?</strong></p><p>All the activities support in achieving the lesson outcomes because they are supposed to learn about the shapes and numbers, what in my opinion helped achieving the lesson outcome is the jigsaw puzzle because children enjoyed it and it was an easy way to make them learn also they enjoyed making the shapes using the sticks. for grade 2 those activities were appropriate and fun. furthermore, children in this age need to use their mind more because they are in a age where their thinking has began to be more logical so they should be improving their thinking skills. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong>How did you know that the prepared assessment for learning strategies are appropriate to assess students’ learning of the lesson?</strong></p><p>The assessment strategies are observe and oral questioning, the class was filled of paper works for the students so I decided to observe and oral question the students to see if they have understood the lesson. I observed the students while they were answering and if a students had a wrong answer I corrected him and his classmates did too, I think oral questioning is the best way for grade 2 because they are old enough to understand and answer. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
