I have a classroom of honors students and special education students at the same time. These are students that scored very highly on their 8th grade standardized tests, some of which have IEPs. I have a co-teacher and a student-intern. There is a lot going on in my English 9 Honors Co-taught classroom. When I sit down to plan my lesson, I have to think about the motivation necessary for my learners but then I need to think about my student's needs. We are a VERY diverse classroom as most of my students are also FARM students. I have the struggle of trying to do this for the first time and still try to teach my student-intern all of the things he needs to know.

My "classroom" is all high school teachers, and many days a mix of HS and MS teachers. On any given day, it might be teachers all from the same content area, but over time it is all areas. There is a huge variability in comfort with technology, availability of technology, and preferences (Apple, Google or Microsoft).

The teachers I work with are all in VERY different stages of understanding and using technology. This variability creates barriers to giving PD based on or using technology. I need to re-frame how I plan PD with these barriers in mind and plan to have a variety of representations.
