This song is all about the summer and how people can't wait for it to come. Along with the beat, this is a very fun and carnival like song. In the 1900's quartets were very popular, which is why you see a quartet singing this song. It's a romantic but fun song at the same.

Pennies from Heaven" is a 1936 American popular song with music by Arthur Johnston and words by Johnny Burke. It was introduced by Bing Crosby in the 1936 film of the same name. The July 24, 1936 recording by Bing Crosby on Decca Records topped the charts of the day for ten weeks in 1936 and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2004. The song represents this time because he sings about the best things, that were free (the Roaring Twenties), and ends with encouragement to not give up but to wait out the storm (the Great Depression) because good things will follow.

This is a more western song about cowboys. This is a very simple song about cowboys out working on a dull day, and chasing their cattle. It is a very descriptive about hard working men, and the people who worked the ranch before them. This relates to the decade as there were a lot of cowboys and farmers.

This was the first big hit for Elvis Presley. Rolling Stone magazine included it at number 67 on its list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and was named one of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. To this day it is, still, a very famous song. The song shows how rock and roll is making a come up, while the theme for the song is silly, Elvis sings it like straight rock and roll.

This is a very popular song that would have gone straight to the top of all music charts, but they already had a top song called "She Loves You." This song was, though, the first number 1 hit they had in America. This song was meant for the American market, as they were a UK band. They had to release this song early because the demand for a new song was so high. This is more of a dancing song, unlike others, but it keeps the romantic theme.

This song is very touching and talks about all the stuff that divides us. During this time there was a lot of protesting and fighting, John thought that by making this song it would help people see that it's dumb to fight over little things and that we should all just come together. The Beatles were into Eastern philosophy which talks about giving up your possessions to find the path of being at peace.

Unlike others that had big name bands and singers, during this decade anyone can become famous by sound cloud.

There seems to be a theme for almost all these songs and that is relationships and happy times. From the older quartet music to rap music in the 2000's they have some of of love in them. They do, however, change in the early 1900's the songs where romantic and had a meaning that was beautiful. In the mid to late 1900's the sons become a little less beautiful, that could be due to the change in music style through. However, in the early 2000's and even some current day music is just about having a hot girl and getting all the girls, it is not beautiful or feel like a true song. While many rappers and modern day mainstream artists talk about women some talk about their love for money and partying, and even some talk about not needing a girl because you have money. I think people from the early 1900's would have never wrote a song like that.
