This book is about a young african american boy who's village is plagued by a series of droughts and floods causing the villages crops to die. This started a big famine in india. Hundreds of people went hungry and many died. Through the hardships he becomes interested in science and tries to make a wind turbine out of scraps to supply his family with electricity. Read this book to find out what happens to him and his family!
Also this book is actually a autobiography. If you like action and fighting books this series and book will be good for you, also if you like somewhat of realistic fiction you might also enjoy these books. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes a book that is fun, adventurous and will always keep you on the edge of 
your seat. This is the first book I’ve actually enjoyed a lot sense probably 1st grade. Book one is about 2 kids Alex and Conner Bailey who fall into there grandmothers old fairytale book. Then they meet I nice frog who tells them that the only way to get out is to collect the wishing spell. Alex and Conner go on a crazy adventure through the fairytale world. Then in book 2 Alex and Conner are back to the fairytale world and find out that an evil enchantress is trying to destroy The Land Of Stories. The only way to stop her  is to create the wand of wonderment which contains 7 of the most hated villains prized possessions. Then in book three a large army led by The Masked Man is planning to attack The Land Of Stories and its all up to Alex and Conner to stop them. FDR got diagnosed with polio and has served as president for 4 terms and died on the fourth. I would recommend this book because it shares a good amount of history and you can learn so much about him and what is like being the only president serving more than two terms. He did great things to help our country and that is important because he was president during The Great Depression. I would give this book a 10/10. This book is guaranteed to keep you on your toes. It is about a boy named Billy, and his dogs Little Ann , and Big Dan ,and their special bond they have as one, and with coon huntining out in the Ozarks. it has a sad ending though. If you love a book that keeps you on your toes, tells a special bond with a boy, and his dogs . A tale of adventure along with hunting, but finally a book so good it will make you cry at the end. Then i am 100 % sure that you will love this book as much as i did. So read were the Red Fern Grows as soon as posible.
