The infinite time-loop could be symbolic of how typical racism hasn't changed since like ages and ages ago, and this was confirmed at the end with the list of names - assuming they were the black people who died due to racist white people

The list of names at the end shows how the film's message is prevalent on a global scale.

By leaving the short film on a cliffhanger, it emphasizes the current state of injustice in the world.

Awesome dog casting, it made me really sympathetic to the main character's motivation.

• White people evil?

• The twist at the end was shocking, was the cop in on it?

• Does the main character accept his fate?

• Racism will always occur? When will we accept our differences?

-Even though he did nothing wrong, he was prosecuted -> relates to more than just him, all black people in America struggle- "Of course I have a gun, I'm a black woman in America, what do you expect?".

-The credits at the end: the different occasions people were pulled up for being black, all while doing quite mundane tasks.

-I was really shocked with the ending, as the cop's reason to kill him was in essence "just because he could."

-The camera angles and zooms were really effective in both showing the pain and confusion of the protagonist and the fury of the cop.

-It really helped to conceptualise George Floyd's story

The black guy also did not use harsh violence, such as the gun in her house, against the white police. Additionally, the movie is clearly inspired by the event of George Floyd, attempting to shed light on the issue of police brutality.

• The girl was talking about how there's only two options to deal with someone who is trying to kill you

  • talk to them, and if that doesn't work, use a gun (violence)

    • This shows how black people are forced into a life of crime as the main character in the film originally tried to talk to the police but it did not work

      • This alludes to the fact that his next option is going to be violece with the last line of dialogue in the short film hinting at this with the use of "no matter what" "I'm getting home to my ****** dog"

I was shocked by the actions the protagonist took, especially his choices to never use a gun.

The ending of the movie is fascinating as it is a symbolism of an endless cycle to racism. The ending credits are a representation of those who suffered from mistreatment of racism, which is presented in a long list to identify that many more were affected from this.

The allusion to George Floyd is extremely powerful as it associates the audience with the real world and makes them realise how massive this issue is.

After my first viewing, I felt extraordinarily sympathetic and almost even guilty for the situation as it I felt like I couldn't do anything (even though it was not my fault).

It was also interesting how at the end, the policeman admitted to knowing the whole thing was a loop and how he enjoyed the performance. This reflects that he enjoyed the constant killing of the protagonist.

Overall, the plot and message behind this short film portrays racism in a fascinating way.

I was shocked that by the end of the film, Carter doesn't make it home and although things were looking up, he was still killed. It wasn't written like some movies, where in the end everyone has this happy ending or at least comes to a mutual understanding or that carter makes it home. It really drilled the idea of police brutality against people of colour.

I was surprised by the fact that there was a list of names rather than a credits list, showcasing real victims and what they were doing at the time. It really solidifies the film's message of racial injustice and violence
