In life there is death, and it's very common, but death doesn't only effect the person loosing their life. It also effects the people close to them, instead of loosing their life entirely, they are loosing just apart of it. Sometimes that can be worse. My question is, how can people get through everyday life knowing that they won't see their loved one again. And how do these people still get the motivation to get up in the morning after such a tragedy so near and dear to them.

According to the article Grief: Coping with the loss of a loved one by the American Psychological Association, research shows that people can get through a loss over time if they have good habits and social support. Also, there isn't a "normal" time period to completely get over a loss, everyone is different. The same article states that, after a person is done grieving or nearing the end, they will usually find a new sense of purpose within themselves or find a new meaning to life. Another thing that people have said that helped them was helping others who had a similar situation. Instead of dwelling on he sadness, they could help someone else with the same problem.

Today, death is very common, it's disheartening to say that, but it is true. All the shootings, all the people at war, all the suicides. Death is apart of everyday life, and like I said before, death doesn't just effect just the victim. Instead of focusing on the cause of that death, maybe we should focus on the people effected by it.
