I have been reading lifestyle blogs for a few years and this one is gave me inspiration to do 'lifestyle'. Lauren Evarts (the author) writes and films videos from fitness to makeup and healthy eating. Her targeted audience are mainly females aged 13-30 which is the same as mine. What I love most about this blog is that the logo, layout and pictures are well put together, clean and represents the name well. This is another example of a lifestyle blog that I have also been reading for a few years. A promotional video for a blog was my original ideas, however, I thought it would a better idea promoting a youtube channel. This blog is similar to The Skinny Confidential in a way that it contains different aspects of life topics such as fitness, beauty, wellness and travel. I like how chic, sophisticated and well-written this blog is. The content is very easy to follow and it only takes a couple of minutes to read each post. Casey Neistat's youtube channel is of him video blogging about his every day life. He was an ex film producer so his filming and editing was very professional and entertaining. This channel inspired to to film and edit rather than just edit photos. My film's editing skills will not be quite as professional but I have learnt a lot about it by watching his work.

I found I few useful websites to see how to market to my target audience, statistics on what they like and things that are trending at the moment. By observing the website female factor some stats and facts I found include: skin care is the largest category in beauty and personal care, 73% of women report they primary users of fitness equipment and the average women has 7 pairs of jeans. Looking up facts and stats gives me a good idea what my market is more interested in. 
 
Google trends was another website I used to help me come up with ideas for my targeted audience. Google trends is a tool to see what is trending all over the world. When I searched what is trending on youtube I can see that games, Pokémon, comdedy and makeup are in the top ten.

The tones and emotions I will include to convince the audience of my message include humor, positivity, adventure, inspiration and light heartedness. 
 
Which colours best represent these emotions? Why?

I am thinking of yellow tints to represent energy and cheerfulness. I am also thinking of purple to represent spirituality and luxury or blue to represent integrity and peace.
