         <title>Liberty I have morning duty 2 out of the 3 days I am in the building, which is hard to fulfill while also being on the Tiers. Occasionally I will fill in a recess duty that doesn&#39;t get filled. Sometimes i will sub for a teacher if they need to be absent for a 30 min period of time (doesn&#39;t always land during guidance)...duties vary and depend on the day.</title>

         <title>Between both of my schools, I have 7-10 social groups that I meet with each week.  The goal of each group is identified during Tier 2 and teacher input on student concerns.  I will not be doing guidance each month at Leeds next year because of other needs in the building but will continue with intentional guidance lessons. At Bryant I provide intentional lessons for each classroom.  As part of PBIS, I cover a teachers lunch once a week at Bryant and STAR lunch once a month.  Jen</title>

I have covered classrooms when a sub is needed but they are trying hard not to use me due to the times I am in the building.  I have monitored the hall before and after school.          <title>At SP my table is used by the nurse for paperwork on Thursdays.  At Unity no one uses my office (DHS might occasionally use my table) as we have 2 conferences rooms and another free office.  This is beneficial as I can respond to requests to see students on any day of the week at either school and also keep my schedule flexible due to need, meetings, and lessons. </title>

         <title>I serve the general population and have worked towards and open door policy.  After receiving the at - risk list, I talk to all of the teachers who have these students.  If they have any concerns with these particular students they are asked to contact me asap.  I give teachers suggestions on how to best work with them, especially if they are on tier II or have been on CICO in the past.  MOST at -risk students are resilient and do well.  I give the co-vitality screener, have a discussion with the classroom teachers, and have conducted follow up interviews.  Based on the outcome of the interview, I either add them to my list, group them, or refer them on.     </title>

         <title>Unity &amp; SP - As part of our PBIS systems, I run staff incentives in both buildings 4 times a week around lunch.  I also run groups throughout the school year as requested by tier II teams and or teacher requests. (SAIG included) This year I was asked to run a Model Me group as requested by our tier II team.  Intentional classroom lessons are provided when asked on specific topics such as relationships, stealing, and cliques.  These lessons can also be provided based on the tier I data and coach requests.  For my IPDP this year it was my goal to teach explicit lessons as outlined in the ASCA model on detailed mindsets.  Principal requests are always top priority, along with parents, teachers, and a large number of self-referring students daily.  Ongoing 504 student meetings are set and plans are written, managed, and updated annually.  This year more than ever I have responded to self harm and suicide threats with a few being referred to Sioux land Mental Health or the hospital, with additional safety plans put in place.          </title>

         <title>In my schools, I support or manage a variety of things.  I supervised an intern from BVU.   Started and conducted a parent support group with the mothers in Sanctuary.  Visited the Woman’s and Children’s Shelter.  Collaborated with the therapists from Siouxland Mental Health and Boys and Girls Home.  Made the majority of student referrals for therapy.  Met with students either from a teacher referral or student request.   Supported families during a crisis referral situation by going to the hospital.  Supported students and families by attending DHS family team meetings.  Talk and collaborate with DHS caseworkers, BHIS workers, Boys Town, support staff at Avera Hospital, Cherokee, and Children’s Square.  Present at Irving parent meetings regarding a variety of topics.   Run small groups and deliver intentional guidance lessons.   Organize and set up the activities and supplies for Red Ribbon week.  Team up with the attendance specialist to put on a monthly “Hawktastic” Lunch Bunch.  Support Co-vitality students.  I am a member of PBIS teams, Tier 2 and 3.   Volunteer at school special events like the Carnival… reading under the stars…books on the beach, bingo for books, etc.   Attend workshops and trainings when possible.   Run 504 meetings to discuss qualification, writing of the plan and updating as needed yearly.  Attend and support the fifth grade transition to the Middle School.  Meet with the counselors from the Middle School to discuss student concerns, 504’s, behavior, safety plans, crisis students, and or other pertinent information they should know about.     Sue</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Riverside Alternative School-Marusia and I share an office which is connected to the Alternative School room. We have table space adequate to work together on projects, one closet for shared storage, no locking cabinets,  or drawers to store confidential material and no lock on door.<br><br>Loess Hills- Monday 8-12, Sue's office is available.  I sometimes keep my coat, lunch bag, etc there,.  It's a nice quiet office, great for phone calls, but I usually see students in the book room down their respective hallway.  Sue has a lot of nice things that I don't want to  mess up, or break.  I've met there before with impulsive kiddos, who want to touch things which makes me uncomfortable for her things.  Fridays 10-2, Sue is often at LH so her office is in use.  There is a storage room on the orchestra stage that is available. This space is in the far corner of the LH building.  It's quiet, out of the way, but very cold.  As a storage space, often a new TV/cart will show up in the middle of the room.  Up until recently, we shared this space on Fridays with an outside therapist, so on Fridays, 10-12, I didn't have a work space to use.  <br>The stage office is a quiet out of the way place to meet kids, but can be cold.  There are no locking doors, or cabinets and the space is used by BTB so I don't keep anything there. <br><br>Irving- I get to meet students in the book room, central to everyone, quiet, and private.  However, if we don't move enough, the lights turn off every 3 minutes.  If I need to make a phone call, I go to the office to request a space to make a call.  There is no locking drawers, or cabinets, but I keep a small box of supplies which doesn't get disturbed.  Of course, no key-it's a book room!<br>Unity- I use the PTO room which is among the office suites. The PTO room houses  the extra underwear and coats, markers, folders, etc for student use.  It's a very nice, calm space.  I do my emailing, documentation, phone calls from that space.  I will meet with students down their hallway in the book room or computer room.   The book room seems to work ok, however, there are several interruptions.  Sometimes, I'll bring kids to the conference room, if it's available.  No key, or locking drawers, or cabinets.  I can't leave anything in the PTO room because students also use this space for quiet time or discipline time.  <br>All in all, it works ok and I always can find a space somewhere to meet with students.<br>I've used Kelly's office before;  it's very nice.  But she's back and forth quite quite often.   She needs her space-I don't want to be in her way.<br>Spalding Park- I have a huge classroom in the 3rd hall, the farthest from the main office, all the way down the hall.  I'm about as far away from the office as any room can be and I get my 10,000 steps in every time I'm there!   I share this room with orchestra and the tech teacher.  I'm occasionally kicked out because tech can keep equipment for only so long.  I go to the office to get a key to get in and out.  I keep the door locked at all times because the tech equipment and instruments are spendy!  I do have a bathroom, although the toilet is about 12" off the floor (it's a TK room).  I have no key to lock  cabinet or drawers, but there are beautiful cabinets there.  I keep a small box of supplies in a cabinet-it hasn't walked off yet.</div>]]></description>
