So don't be embarrassed  that you are not a "jock." Sports usually get more attention than the Arts. Getting a #1 in a contest  that you have given a piece of your heart and soul to practicing can be just as rewarding!  You may not realize this until years later. You will learn to appreciate MANY different styles of music as time goes on! Don't give up!!!
