It was a year that included a global pandemic, a war overseas, and a midterm election. In any other year just one of these events would have been the story of the year, but in 2022, people had to learn to grapple with the rapid chance that was caused by these events and many others. Inside of someone's home, you can see the state that their lives are in. You can see the little things they do to deal with a public health hazard, the political causes they support, and how they deal with economic instability. As you walk through the exhibit, take note of the objects that you see. 2022 was the year where the rest of world began to open up after the lockdowns and restrictions caused by the covid-19 pandemic. On the outside of the home you may find some political signs posted up on the front yard. 2022 was a politically charged year. It was a year that saw Roe v Wade get overturned, a war between Ukraine and Russia, and a midterm election. During the covid-19 pandemic, many people transitioned from working in an office building to working at home. as a result, most of their work was done on laptops and personal computers inside the comfort of their own home. Near the entrance of the home. you will be able to find a pair of gym shoes. During the covid-19 pandemic, these gym shoes did not see as much use as one would hope. Many gyms were closed down for the pandemic and even when things were opened, people may not have felt comfortable with going out into public spaces.
