Hello and welcome to my little “corner of heaven” as I would like to call it.

As you already deduced, this padlet will be about sports, especially volleyball,. Of course, all of them in a way to improve my dictionary and to introduce you to the undiscovered volleyball world.

The main reason why I chose this domain is because this sport will always have a special place in my heart, even if I don’t practice it anymore.

I’ll cover topics such as the history of this sport, general rules, carrying out training efficiently, but also matches and personal experiences and performances.

That being said, hope you’ll enjoy exploring a new side of modern sports

How it all began…

Since I was a kid, I always admired my sister, who is 8 years older than me, I was literally her extension, everywhere she went, I had to be there too. Now you would think I was a little sticky, which is all true, but I saw her, and I still do, like my life model.
Going back to those times, she was playing volleyball at our home team, from a small city in Mureş country.
As I already mentioned, I was her extension, so of course I started practicing this sport too. Everytime she was there, I was indispensable.
As time went by, she gained more experience and transferred to the team from Cluj-Napoca, more especially LPS Cluj-Napoca. After finishing her junior years, she gave up to performance sport and focused on a more stable domain, accountancy to be more specific. She studied at this university aswell.
Being a competitive person, I always but always wanted to be the best at what I do, to make my parents proud and to overtake my sister aswell. (Nothing toxic, just a desire to make my family proud, especially when practicing sports).
At 14 years old, I started to take more seriously the idea of having a career in volleyball, so I decided to transfer to Blaj, which is recognized for it’s national and international results at seniors level.

How it all started… part 2

After spending about 2 years at Blaj, I decided that it’s time to improve something. After analyzing the situation from different perspectives, I decided it’s time to change my team, to improve my athletic abilities and performances. (It was a bit hard with all the limitations we had caused by the pandemic.)
And, where do you think I transferred? obviously at the same team where my sister played also.😂 What a coincidence, I know.
This decision was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Since I arrived here, in Cluj, my life changed, professionally but personally aswell.
I was lucky to meet some coaches who cared about me and my career, who pushed me to improve my abilities every day.
In 3 years, they helped me to improve my technique, tactics, psychology and physical condition.
*I’ll attach a video since the first year at Cluj. It was at the final tournament. To be honest, we never thought we’d be able to qualify, but a miracle happened.
We lost all of the games, but we united as a team and learned our lesson for the next season.

Fast forward, after a couple of years, more exactly 2, after a lot of time and effort I’ve had (almost) accomplished my goals, which were proposed since the first day I’ve stepped on the court, to win the juniors championship, to debut at the national team and seniors.
I guess you’re all agog, soo without any more retention, I managed to get the 3rd place at the final’s and to debute at both of the teams.
These achievements couldn’t be possible without my parents to whom I am more than grateful to have
