I honestly can't see why this book was challenged in the first place. Yes it has issues of Euthanasia but the book clearly showed that the society was dysfunctional so it shows that euthanasia is wrong. It also showed some sexuality but that's because Jonah is going through puberty in the novel so of course  he would be feeling that way.
