    Gold has always hidden her true self and how she really is, the real her. She does this to protect everyone around her. Very few people and close “friends” have seen fragments, bits, and pieces of the real her.

    “Gold!” One of her friends yells at her in a desperate attempt the catch the blonde and blue haired female. “GOLD!” she yells again. Gold continues to walk down the noise filled hallway of the middle school, walking and drowning in all the different noises around her. “GOLD WOODS!” her friend Captain, Captain Autumn. Gold finally stops in her tracks and zones back in the reality and away from her thoughts that she was held captive in. “hm sorry captain I was lost in my thoughts again..” gold starts to speak as she drifts away again. Captain scoffs in annoyance giving up on trying to catch the pale girls attention for more than 4 seconds. They walk down the hallway, but to Gold it seems like she keeps repeating the same cycle. Step, step, breath, blink, think, step, step, repeat. The bell rings telling kids to get to their classes, gold snaps out of her thoughts realizing she's the only one standing there, she gasps and runs to her class. She barges in her scarf wrapped around her face and art pieces sticking out of her black and paint splattered backpack, “i-i-i-i’m sorry I'm late mrs.k..” mrs.k looks at gold “no surprise there miss woods, go sit.” she says in a monotone voice without even looking up. Gold sits in the back of class like usual, hearing the kids laugh at her for her stuttering. She sits in her seat quietly. Mrs.k starts rambling on about something as always. She always hated math, she was the class tutor that no one listens to. She has the top grade of her classmates, she always finishes her tests in less than 10 minutes. Golds been offered to be in advanced workings but she always rejects with the same answer “what's the fun in doing that... Then I cant slack around after I finish just work and more work.”. Teachers have basically given up on trying with the pale skinny dull grey-eyed female. The last bell of the period that tells the 8th graders it’s time to go to lunch and eat bad food. Gold walks onto the roof of the school to the sitting area up there that only she and her friends sit at. But gold the only one that sits there when it rains, which is now. 

    Gold sits up on the rooftop staring at the trees and forest that lay behind the schoolyard. “ I know she's up here Haz- HA see I told you Hazelnut!” Xavier exclaims as he points at Gold. the blonde and blue haired girl with her signature red hoodie and deep red scarf. She's as pale as sand and as skinny as twigs. She has one of the rarest eye colors, grey. With those piercing grey eyes, she looks at him. “W-w-what,” she says trying to sound mad but her stutter gets in the way. The light tan and pastelled hair girl known as hazelnut stood there with the grey-haired male named Xavier. Gold looks away annoyed, “Gold you can't keep zoning out on us like this.” Hazelnut says softly as she's worried about what has become of her friend. Gold closes her eyes and tries to block out all the different noises, including her friends. Her friends are yelling at her to get out of the zone when she feels a hand on her shoulder. She comes back to reality and speaks softly. “Hey Anthony” the green and dark blue haired male looks at her, surprised she knew who it was without even looking. “You keep forgetting you have a robotic hand obviously.” he hit himself in the face remembering that he does. “Yeah I forgot again.” Gold doesn't look up to face him. Anthony sighs “If you look at me I’ll take you and Gmega to your favorite coffee shop. Sound good?” Gold looks at him immediately when he said coffee and then she realizes he tricked her “Y-y-y-you tr-rick-ed me!!!!!!!!” Gold yells at him “ugh!” Gold looks down again burying her face in her scarf.  Anthony sighs “look at me or we're not getting coffee and Omega and I will just go instead.” Gold sighs really wants coffee from stixs coffee bar. She looks at him with a frustrated face, her eyes have dark circles under them. He sighs as he looks at her, “when was the last time you slept?” gold doesn't answer him. “GOLD when was the last time you slept!” he yells at her “2 days ago..” she says and looks away again. Anthony sighs and hugs her tightly. “Come on let's go find omega and get some coffee in you.” gold smiles and leans against him. 

    Gold and Anthony walk into the coffee shop with omega and get a table while Anthony gets them coffees. Gold sits there silently drawing in her notebook. Omega watches her smiling. “Your so good at drawing!” omega says to her. Gold blushes and smiles “t-t-thanks.” she replies shyly. Omega and Gold sit there drawing as they wait for anthony to come back. “Got the coffees! Hazelnut mocha for Gold, peppermint mocha for omega and caramel mocha for me.” anthony lists off and hands us our coffees. Omega and Gold say thank you to him and they all sit and enjoy their coffees. 

The next day rolls around and the three of them are at school. Anthony is desperately trying to get Golds attention but she's zoned out. “GOLD!” anthony yells at her “WHAT THE HECK DO YOU WANT!!!” she yells at him, anger in her eyes.everyone looks at her surprised and laughing. She realizes what she did and she runs crying. Omega chases after her along with Anthony. Omega finds her in the girls bathroom crying under the sinks. Omega sighs not speaking and she sits with her. “Its ok..what's been wrong with you lately.” Omega says calmly. Gold looks at her, “All everyone sees is my mask…, only very few of you guys have seen fragments of the real me.” Omega looks at her trying to peace it together. “ I’m a monster with a past.” Gold says with a freakish frown.
