         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Eutrophication is the process of depletion of oxygen from water bodies occurring either naturally or due to human activities.</strong></p><p><strong>Under normal conditions, algae and phytoplankton use carbon dioxide, inorganic nitrogen and phosphate from the water as food. They serve as food for the zooplankton, which in turn are eaten by fish.</strong></p><p><strong>When nutrients increase due to waste accumulation, the growth of phytoplankton and algae increases. They reduce the penetration of oxygen, light and heat into the water body. As a result, the aquatic plants are unable to carry out photosynthesis reducing the content of oxygen in the water. Thats how aquatic biodiversity gets harmed. Algal Blooms Block Sunlight </p><p>Thick algae on the water surface block sunlight, preventing underwater plants from doing photosynthesis. This causes those plants to die.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>2. Oxygen Depletion </p><p>When algae die, bacteria decompose them and use up oxygen in the water. This leads to hypoxia (low oxygen), or even anoxic (no oxygen) zones.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>3.          <description><![CDATA[<p>The word Eutrophication is derived from the Greek word eurotroph which means well nourished. Eutrophication is the process through which nutrients accumulate excessively in waterbodies either naturally or through human septic tanks or drainage pipes. A type of Eutrophication can cause the water to decrease in oxygen levels and decrease in water quality which makes it hard to live for animal and plant life such as crabs muscles and fish. The algae bloom also prevent aquatic plants from getting sunlight. Hypoxic and anoxic levels prevent fish from surviving which makes this habitat inhabitable for most species of aquatic life. Sometimes they use seaweed or seagrass to prevent eutrophication. But there are new generic or genetically modified ways to absorb nitrogen, and phosphorous. sometimes they close beaches because of the algae which is also called cyanobacteria it emits toxin such as neurotoxins and hepatotoxins which can lead to gastro problems, Parkinsons, and Alzheimer's.  </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
