I replied to her " Good Morning " with " Good Morning, I just ate breakfast and I'm currently on my way to my 9 am class that's about 10 mins away, I ate chilaquiles and they were not nearly as good as yours." My audience was my mom and my purpose was to update her about my day and let her know I ate so she'd stop worrying about me as well as know I'm constantly thinking of my home. I know I achieved my purpose because she said "Okay, walk quickly to class so you won't be late." My audience was was my girlfriend, and my purpose was to communicate with them and notify them that I will be busy in class, and I was able to do so right before I entered the class today. i could have called them or sent them a voice message saying that I will be busy instead of having to send them a message through text. I chose to write this because it is our way of communicating with one another before we may go out or do something and to just notify one another that we may be busy or something came up. The song was "A.D.H.D" by Kendrick Lamar and we were both matching each others hype about it as he is one of our favorite artist. I feel what gives great meaning to this conversation is that music for us is just how we connect with not only each other, but other people as well. Even though we were just building off of each others very exaggerated hype, music for us is more or less of a hobby and we enjoy talking about the depth of the music we listen to through its lyrics and flow as we see it as a story being told. And since I forgot they were both going to college together, I wanted to know if he was with a group of friends or on his own still. I achieved my purpose as she ended up telling me that he was just looking around for help. I know I achieved my purpose as we continued to talk about her orientation. I don’t think I could have achieved this purpose without writing because if I hadn’t texted back then I most likely wouldn’t have known our mutual friend was attending that college.
