The Program

Successful candidates will:

• attend all DEPA NSW’s professional learning events free of charge. Candidates will have access to all sessions, notes and resources for the professional learning events.

• be invited to attend committee meetings, where appropriate. They will have the opportunity to interact with the DEPA NSW committee members.

• demonstrate a willingness to assist with administrative tasks as directed by DEPA NSW executive committee members.

Candidate section criteria:

• Early career Dance teachers (teachers in their first few years of teaching dance in NSW schools).

OR

• University students within their 3^rd or 4^th year of study enrolled in a Dance education degree program.

• Demonstrated commitment to a career in Dance teaching.

• Willingness to actively participate in the mentorship program.

Highlight your educational qualifications, including degrees, certifications, and any professional development courses relevant to teaching. If applicable, describe any previous experience you have in mentoring or being mentored, including informal or formal roles.

Purpose Statement:

Clearly state that you are expressing interest in the teacher mentorship program.

• Explain why you are interested in the mentorship program. Highlight what you hope to gain from the experience and how you believe it will benefit your professional development.

• Explain how your strengths and experience will contribute to the success of the mentorship program.

• Engagement: Indicate your willingness to actively participate in all aspects of the program, including meetings, training sessions, and any required activities.

Availability and Flexibility: Specify your availability and ability to commit to the program’s schedule. Mention any flexibility you have regarding meeting times and additional responsibilities.
