Peter loved the snow and put some in his pocket noticing that it all melted before bed. Peter dreamed that night if all the snow melted and then he woke up seeing more snow had fallen.
Value: I think there is multiple definitions to love and one is having a deep interest or pleasure in something. Peter loved everything about the snow and had a deep interest leading to his love for playing in the snow. This is another great story for the children's world by expressing what it means to be a kid playing in the snow. Count Olaf kills Dr. Montgomery and then decides to take the orphans to Peru where Olaf crashes into Mr. Poe car. Olaf used Mamba du Mal venom to kill Dr. Montgomery and the kids find out, but Count Olaf escapes before he is caught.
Value: A Series of Unfortunate Events is nothing short of a mystery. This story fits under this category because it is difficult to understand and reach a conclusion to the story. Like all great mysterious stories this one leaves you hanging until Count Olaf is confronted in the end of the story. This story is valuable to the children's literature world because it gives children the ability to think and read a diverse book. Giving a story for children to problem solve is a fun experience through a text of this manner.

When a friend leaves you a part of you is ripped from your heart. Since Evan lost his best friend he remembered him in the best way by getting a new friend and reliving his memories. This story holds true value to the children's literature world by giving the results of a family who doesn't express there love their kid. At the end of the story the family was running out of food and they asked Fredrick for his food. Fredrick shared his thoughts about the sun and how it relates to the glory of the human spirt.
Value: This book was hard to find a theme for and I think this category represents it best. Fredrick understood that hibernation was coming and instead of gathering food he followed his dreams to gather sunlight and color instead. This explains the idea of dream following because Fredrick to his own path for the fulfillment of his life. This story is valuable to the children's literature world because the theme of this story expresses that when we are in a dire need of something it's our dreams of happier things that help us get through things. The Pigeon does any everything to persuade those around him to get what he wants. Since the Pigeon never got to drive the bus it explains that when there are rules and laws in life those take precedents over any action. The pigeon gained insight on accepting the true value of not persuading people to make the wrong decision.
