Pisa was a key journalist in the Kercher murder and played a big role in the Netflix documentary. Since then, he is still a journalist working for The Sun. Pisa now seems to steer clear from murder stories, but still finds himself in drama. Pisa has reported, for The Sun, on articles ranging from British Airways replacing meals with chocolate, to human smuggling, to nude photo scandals. It seems he doesn’t have a filter for what he chooses to work on.

Amanda Knox, years after being exonerated from the murder of Meredith Kercher, has a new trial against her over a slander conviction she received after wrongfully accusing a bar owner of murdering Meredith. She requested the conviction to be dropped based on the fact her defense rights were violated during police questioning in 2007. In October of 2024, Italy’s top court ordered a retrial of the slander conviction.

Guede was released from prison in 2021 for the murder of Meredith Kercher after serving 13 years out of his original sentence of 16. He maintained his innocence when he was released. He now is serving a 12-month surveillance sentence after being accused of beating and abusing his ex-girlfriend. She got a restraining order against him and now he is restricted from contacting her via social media, seeing her in person, and being within a 500-meter radius of her. Guede is not allowed to leave his home within the time of 9:30 pm and 6:30 am and anytime he does leave his house, he must inform police about his whereabouts.

Guede has a restraining order against him, where he has to stay 500 meters away from his former girlfriend at all times and had to wear an electronic bracelet. Additionally, he is banned from having any form of contact with her as well. It is clear to see that since his release from jail, Guede is still continuing his delinquent lifestyle.

Sollecito said the protracted ordeal left his family with debts of 400,000 Euros. But his claim was rejected by the Florence appeals court, which took into account contradictions in Sollecito’s statements at the start of the murder investigation. Sollecito’s lawyer, Giulia Bongiorno said she would appeal the decision at the supreme court, arguing that the Florence appeals court had failed to consider that his conflicting statements in the early days of the murder investigation were given under duress.

She began with her life again after all that trauma it was hard for her but in 2015 she met her husband and in 2021 she had her first child , a baby girl after experiencing a miscarriage. she appealed the slander conviction, and a retrial of the case began in the Florence appeals court on April 10, 2024.

Rudy Guede was the only person definitively convicted of the Kercher’s murder. He also remains his innocence although his DNA was found all over the crime scene as well as inside of Kercher’s. Rudy only served 13 of his 16 year sentence and therefore was released in November of 2021. In December of 2023 Guede had a restraining order sailed against him when his ex girlfriend made a complaint to authorities. He had to wear an electronic bracelet and couldn’t be within 500 meters of his ex. By February of 2024 he was put under surveillance for the next year because he allegedly assaulted his former girlfriend. He not allowed to be out of the house from 9:30pm to 6:30am. Also he has to inform authorities whenever he leaves Viterbo, as that is the city in which he resides. Also he cannot have any contact with his ex even via social media.

Since Knox’s trial has ended she’s written a New York Times best selling memoir, and is now an advocate for the wrongfully accused and publicly shamed. She’s taken time and effort to turn her platform into something meaningful and in 2019, the European Court of Human Rights ordered Italy to pay Knox almost $21,000 in damages and expenses. As of 2018 Knox is married and a mother of two.
