In Japan they farm for rice and, they fish. They have a lot of mining. That is just in the rural area. In the Big City such as Tokyo is very different. They have big tall skyscrapers, restaurants, shopping malls, and industries. Factories used to use the sea as waste sights. The laws have changed since then and Japan has a smaller percentage of pollution now. Japan is an island and since they live by the ocean they eat a bunch of seafood and easily grown crops such as rice. The seasons stay the same almost all year round, thus meaning that they don't really have to have a specific clothing for each season because they are basically one season.
