Because people would have the opportunity to get a higher income for their family and future. I definitely agree that the minimum wage in 2014 which was raised to $15 was great because the stuff was cheaper than it is nowadays and people could save money for short-term and long-term. I do not think $22 is too much for workers working in fast-food restaurants because everything is so expensive and even worse, in California everything is expensive, so I feel that it is a fair wage for workers in fast-food restaurants. $20 is a fair wage for fast food workers in California because in the way they will have a good income and will not be necessary for them to search for a second job which most people do because their first job do not pay them enough to save for things they want in the future.

I feel like there should be a nationwide minimum wage salary that is the same for all of the 50 States because it is not fair for workers in other states to earn less than others when doing the same job. For example, a lot of people work for McDonald's, and if in each state there is a different minimum wage people will feel that they are not being paid a fair minimum wage. Finally, I think that a fair minimum wage for workers should be $20 per hour so they can have a good income for their families.
