Downtown Little

I attended preschool for 2 years at Downtown Little school. This was the first time I was away from my parents for an extended period throughout the day.

Kindergarten

I attended Kindergarten at a Catholic school called Transfiguration. The school was in China town and I got to experience Catholicism with a mix of Chinese culture.

1st Grade

I attended first grade at a school in Brooklyn, this school was called Mary McDowell. I ended up switching schools but learned much about navigating the subway system, although at this age I was still accompanied.

Churchill School and Center

I attended Churchill from 2nd grade through my senior year of high school. this is where I made the majority of my friends, spent the most of my time, and learned essential skills to carry into college.

My Friends

Although friends are not an event in time, my friends have played a detrimental role in my development as a human being. They have taught me so much about myself and I am very grateful for them.

Post-grad

After graduating high school, I wasn't sure if I wanted to attend college. I decided to attend a post graduate program in Rhode Island. Long story short, worst decision I have ever made. This experience taught me a lot about myself and that I had control over my fate. I learned how to control my emotions and overcome barriers in my life.

Coming Home

After leaving the post grad program, I came home and was not in the best position. I slowly got back into my old groove and realized that the world wasn't ending. Although I did not have a very productive year, I did get to do a lot of cool things like travel.

Mexico

My Grandparents brought me to a town in Mexico with them, where they actually ended up buying a house. I enjoyed my time in Mexico and learned a lot about culture, I would like to go back and further immerse myself in the it.

Colorado

Last April, my family went skiing in Colorado, I learned how much I appreciate my family and remembered how much fun I have with my cousins. I also dislocated my shoulder for the third time...and got really sun burnt.

Europe

This summer I embarked on my most extravagant trip yet. I visited 5 countries and loved every minute of it. The trip started out in Italy with me, my cousin Padraig, and my sister Lelia.

Later in the trip, we linked up with more of my family and traveled Spain and France. This trip taught me a lot about European culture and was some of the most fun i've ever had. It has definitely shaped the way I look at the world.

Ireland/Northern Ireland

My Grandmother was from Ireland and my Grandfather the North. This part of the trip was very special to me as I got to reconnect with my roots and family. The last time I was there I was 11 and my baby cousin Sam had just been born, now he is 11!

Now What?

Now I am a student at Highpoint University and am continuing to seek change and adventure. I see this part of my life as a foundation for change and I think it will be one of the most influential periods. I can't wait for what is next! While the events detailed in my story may not seem related, I feel that they have all contributed to the way I have developed as a human being.

Summer'22

If not already clear, I believe that my education has had a massive impact on the person that I have become. After graduating I thought that I had a pretty clear idea of my identity, I was wrong. Over the summer, I had a serious case of senioritous, I was on top of the world and no one could deag me down. I was enjoying each day to the fullest and was working a job.
