Liza Soberano? No! Kristina Jatico? Yes!

Hello! My name is Kristina Jatico, a grade 11 STEM Pre-Sci student of Ateneo De Davao. People would mistakenly think I'm a college student probably because of my height, which is 5'8, but actually, I just turned 17 last October 24. There is nothing much about me except that I am a really happy and positive person (I still complain a lot). I am an ambivert—sometimes I yap so much, but sometimes I prefer not talking at all, or I like being around many people and socializing, but some other times, I am a stay-at-home type of person. My whole existence is just me trying to figure out who I really am and what I desire. I try to make the most of everything I do and enjoy the life I have right now.

Recently, I just received the honor certificate that I really hoped and worked hard for. And now, I am beyond grateful despite the obstacles and barriers I encountered upon transferring to this new environment. I commit myself to continue striving hard and improve in things I am bad at, so that, all my sleepless and "I forgot to eat" days will be worth it.

And oh! Before I forget to mention, my comfort food is ice cream (vanilla and strawberry, specifically) and my favorite color is pink, but lately I've been into red clothes and stuff.

If rest was a dog, it would be him. Dachshund is my favorite dog breed. I had a dachshund as my pet ever since I was a little kid. Yes, I am a dog lover—I prefer them over anything (even over humans). Boss is my 5th dachshund dog now, and I purposely made all of their names start with the letter B. My dog never fails to uplift me. He's my only company when life turns its back on me. I don't think I can live without dachshunds.

I am the "takes many pictures but never really posts them" type of person.

I love taking pictures and posing, but too lazy to post them because I have to decide which picture is better over more than 100 pictures, and which caption and song are better. Also, I am more active on IG than on Facebook for some reason.

I am a music lover who listens to the same playlist over and over.

I think my playlist's name and description sums everything up. I do love music, but I have different tastes in music—my music taste depends on my mood.

A check from my high school bucket list!

I have always wanted to join the majorette club and dance at parades like my mom used to. However, before I could even join in my previous school, COVID came and the club was stopped/removed when school came back to normal, so I didn't get the chance and joined the cultural club in our school instead which I DID NOT REGRET AT ALL! Here's a little yap about my experience as a cultural dancer—although I didn't get to experience majorette as a high school student, I found my passion in cultural dances and dreamed of dancing to competitions someday. Funny because I never planned on joining the club, but because the other clubs were overcrowded and I wanted to have my moment too, I thought of trying this one. Apparently, my dance style suited this genre more, and I got so many compliments from my teachers and other students. I was always the center and I used to handle our club (in making choreographies and such) because we were least given attention. I didn't know that I would inspire other students and bring them into the club because after that, our club got overcrowded now too!

Now, blue belles is like a breath of fresh air. It was finally time for me to try something new and make my 4 years dream come true. Thanks to this club, I made new amazing friends along the way.

Love Serves!

This was the romcom that got me fantasizing about love. I love this so much that I started watching other romcoms now too. I know this type of love story doesn't exist, but how I wish they did exist! I still rewatch this whenever I want to feel "kilig."

I have so many friends, but I have almost no proper picture with them.

This was taken during my sweet 16, and they were the ones who gave me genuine laughs, never left my side, and appreciated for who I truly am, knowing that I am such a people pleaser. I love them a lot!

We clutched that medal! With all the dances I've joined, cheer dance was definitely the hardest and most challenging, I almost even got injured, but it was worth it still. The fact that I was only forced to join here because they needed more members is a funny experience for me. I'd still like to join a DACS competition again next time, but not as a cheer dancer though, hopefully as a cultural dancer.
