-Everyone loves to live there and it is a great privilege to be there

-Being "released" is a supossedly terrible thing to the residents and Jonas feels bad when it happens

-People are only released when they are born not suitable to the community's standards, when they are too old and when you cause trouble to the place.

-The children have trouble figuring out their emotions, so they talk to their parents to let them tell them how to feel

-Animals are non existent (or the government may be hiding them from the rest of the world, just an assumption)
