Teachers are like second parents. They shape our minds and help us to recognize our talents and goals. To some teachers, it is nothing but a job that pays the bills. But to others, it is their life. Some people believe that the teachers’ primary role is simply to teach children to behave and to judge what is right and wrong. But on the other hand, teachers play the role of second parents to the students. It is they who correct the students if something went wrong like exactly what they would do to their own children. The teachers also play significant role in shaping the life of the students under their care.

Teacher as a second parent will support their students by giving proper guidance. Once a student feels that the teacher appreciates what they do, they will trust their teacher more. Students spend more time in school than at home. Teachers need to make students feel that they are safe enough and never let fear be our image but love. In return, students should give respect to their teachers through disciplined behaviors and putting in good efforts in their studies. Alas, students can attain success in their life and also make their parents and teachers proud of their success.

-Shakespeare wrote " All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely player." Great teachers are good ACTORS! Teachers who can effectively demonstrate acting skills, whether consciously or unconsciously, appear to be some our better teachers. Students are able to be more engaged and behave better when teachers teach with enthusiasm by using acting techniques such as physical and vocal animation, role-playing, and the use of suspense and surprise. A good teacher need some of the gifts of a good actor where the teacher must be able to hold the attention and in­terest of their students. Teacher has a clear speaker, with a good, strong, pleasing voice which is fully under their control; and the teachers able to act what their are teaching, in order to make its meaning clear. A good teacher does not sit motionless before his/her class instead he/she stands the whole time when they are teaching, they walks around the classroom, using their arms, hands and fingers to help them in their explanations, and use their face to express feelings. Listen to them, and the students will able to hear the loudness, the quality and the musical note of their voice always changing according to what they are talking about. The classroom is his/her stage and the whiteboard is a huge prop. A teacher who can deliver a good lecture or lesson is a good actor. 

Teachers must be literate in these new modes of learning and communication, which necessitates knowing how to sail. They need to be flexible and open to making changes as they go (teach).

Teachers should allow students to steer and bring their own sails. This is due to the fact that many teachers will take some time to relinquish the steering wheel and become the compass. Plus, because not all sails are the same size in which the metaphor can work with sails representing the competency (skills), motivation, and handicaps (the ability to be operative physically, emotionally, and academically).

Teachers should become useful compasses because when students steer themselves, they will result in uncharted water, thus teachers must be able to point the way even when they may not know the best course of action.  Generally, in my opinion, it isn’t about the right answers, but it is about the journey throughout the learning session as both communities which are the students and teachers must constantly learn, unlearn and relearn all the time.

In short, I believe in the metaphor of teacher as a compass by helping students to navigate their own learning journey.

As we already know a football coach is someone who must have a full responsibility and know what to do for their people. As for the example, in a football tournament there is a football coach he needs to plan all the strategies for his team and a football coach needs to give the instruction to control the team during the game while the rest of the players will just follow it well this is the same method that teacher are using in the classroom like planning a daily lesson for the students so that students know what they are going to learn and the students will only follow what the teacher wants them to do. When i said a teacher is like a football coach it means that a teacher needs to know what strategy that is suitable with his/her students’ ability when teaching the students so that it is easier for the students to understand during the process of learning and can do well just like how a football coach must do he must know about the team’ weaknesses and abilities so that he can give the right instruction based on his the ability of the team in return his team will do well based on the position that is given during the game. Without the position of teacher there will be no one that can control the students and without a football coach the team can be fighting over each other because there is no one that can control them on the field during the game

For me, i think of teachers as a library. They’re full with stories and surprises that would make students happy. You dont know what kind of story you would get but you know it will always be entertaining. In my own experience, a teacher back in highschool was literally like a library. She would casually lend me her novels for me to read, just like a library!
