My name is Matthew Bishop and I am currently working as a crisis paraprofessional in a 8:1:1 at P9 at PS 209 in Whitestone, Queens. I have been working in the same program for almost 6 years and have become great friends with my colleagues. 

My goals include becoming a certified teacher in the oncoming months and to one day provide AIS science push in's/pull outs for my students. My background is in the biological sciences so I want to have the opportunity to pass on my passion to my future students. I hope that this class provides me with strategies and tools to help students to do their best in what can be a daunting subject, mathematics.

One thing I enjoy doing is riding around the city on my bike and exploring parts of the five boroughs that I have no been able to visit yet.
