Based on the pages i had read on 185-189, back then in the public buses, Americans had to give up their seat, so white people can sit in the bus. In 1955, Rosa Parks was sitting in the public buses and a white guy told her to get off her seat, but she refused to, so the police forced her to get out of the bus, and they arrested her, so they put her in a jell cell. It was later put in the news about Rosa Park actions on the bus, this shocked the African Americans community, so they asks MLK to be there leader. MLK had an idea that he started a boycott that African American should not ride the public buses because only white people were allowed to sit down, and not African Americans. Later, not many African Americans took the public buses in Montgomery, they used more car pools to get to work. The boycott worked and bus company's were losing money. Later then, the supreme court made a decision that public buses had to force African Americans to let them sit in the bus to without anyone telling them to get out. The bus Montgomery boycott helped made MLK famous about it, and a lot of people were starting to boycott to in the south. Magazines put him in the cover for that, and also Rosa parks too because she thought it was right for everyone to sit in the buses and not only whites.
