Three wow moments I had in this course are learning the importance of culture and the impact it can have on a student's education. Learning more about this I began to comprehend how my education would have been more impactful. Another wow moment was seeing the different perspectives other students had it made me become more open-minded and see how different individuals can agree or disagree with me making me have a different perspective. A takeaway I had from this course was the effect of parents being involved in their student's lives and incorporating that into my future teachings.

Two ways this course will influence my teaching is that currently, it's the holidays, and Christmas is normally celebrated. After being in this course I have incorporated other holidays than just Christmas as well as Hanukkah for my students to feel included. I saw the drastic mood change in one of my students being happy to be included and for others to be informed. Another way this course has influenced my teaching is to learn different techniques to teach and for my students to understand better and be more fun.

A way this course can be improved is to continue giving the option of doing the responses in videos or writing. I feel that was a great idea and we were able to see other students' opinions and emotions! Something im still wondering about and suggest is giving resources on how to make lesson plans and where to find ideas or worksheets, as I still struggle with that.

As an educator, I found this article very impactful because this is an important subject to talk about with students for them to realize how their body works and understand what is wrong and what is right, especially at a young age like in elementary.

This video I found was very impactful because it gave clarity to the message and a better understanding of what is going on how racism is and the disturbing issue that is happening in our society. Something that did stick to me from this video is how someone with an ethnic name will have a lower percentage rate of being hired than someone with a white name. This just shows how our society is. As well it will be helpful for others to understand in a simpler form.

This website I found very informing and as well made me realize what is happening and the horror that is occurring. After seeing different sections of what is occurring and the painful damage, lives taken, homes wrecked, and innocent children's lives taken away, it made me realize this is an issue that needs more light shined on. As well as others should view this website to be informed.

This video made an impact on me and made me realize the importance of taking an ethnic studies. As being latina joining CHIC studies i found a place of beloning and a community I'm able to relate as he mentioned in the video. As well in this video it was eye opening and all he spoke was reality and truth.

This video was very impactful because it informed me on how to teach in a classroom and is a video I look back at to help me with my classroom. To have them more engaged and what to do when students are walking around or not giving me their full attention.

This article was very informative to understand what is happening about sexual harassment and as educators how to be on the lookout. As well as trying to prevent this, being informed and learning about this was very shocking when I saw the numbers being high, especially having to experience that at a young age.
