BY JENNY JOHANNA LEON A.

STRATEGIES FOR TEACHING ENGLISH TO ADULTS

In the process of training adults it is necessary to identify the level of English in each student with the aim of orienting the knowledge to improve their learning, implementing 2 principles advantages and disadvantages of being an adult student.

ADVANTAGES

1. It is to obtain the maximum benefit of its age, the knowledge is specific and the concentration and memory are high.

2. Specify the different concepts, through daily and practical examples, daily life is the best learning environment, conversations between students of the program.

3. Differentiate the theoretical concepts, in the grammatical aspects, some graphs and written examples are important to acquire practice.

4. Questions are important to get help and know the level of learning.

5. To direct the knowledge motivating the social and labor benefit of a second language.

DISADVANTAGES

1. Learning in adults may have difficulties because of work and family concerns, but a motivating teacher can have students learn and complete a new level in English.

2. The adult student can be insecure at the time of learning, so it is necessary for the teacher and his classmates to help each other in each class.

3. It is possible for the adult student to learn grammar concepts, but not to have fluency in the pronunciation of words and conversations, but practice can overcome difficulties.

ENGLISH TEACHING IN ADOLESCENTS.

In the process of teaching a foreign language in adolescents has many aspects, in this case I can call ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES.

ADVANTAGE

1. Teens learn concepts easily, can get good pronunciation in words and conversations.

2. They have no fear in the moment of learning, because everything is a new world to discover.

3. They feel the need to improve every day, practice for fun and actively participate.

4. They learn through movement, sound, video practice, written exercises, chain of words and group and individual games.

DISADVANTAGES

1. Young students do not have the capacity to concentrate, their attention is limited, and therefore, the teaching effort is greater.

2. Learning is high, but it is not constant because distractions prevent training.

3. Learning must be dynamic because it can be considered monotonous in classes.
