Hi, I am Sophie Chasteen. I am a high school dual enrollment student who is studying to become a pediatric occupational therapist. By the end of high school, I plan to have my Associates of Sciences and my Associates of Arts, and then get my Bachelor's degree at a four year college. As an athlete, I am interested in sports and I also love to work with kids. Some experience I have is working with and watching kids at my church for two years, as well as doing volunteer work over the summer. Through this I have learned how to interact with kids, have patience, work with responsibility, and have dedication.

Module 1- Introduction to Rhetoric

In this module, there are the Cover Letter assignment and the Rhetorical Appeals/ Logical Fallacies In-Class Project. This module focuses on being able to talk professionally without fallacies.

Module 2- Analysis

In this second module, there are Essay #1 and the Research Assignment In-Class Project. The main idea of this module was researching and finding a reliable source.

Module 3- Research & Documentation

In the the third module, there are the Annotated Bibliography and Revised Annotated Bibliography assignments. This module talked about research questions and finding sources to back them up.

Module 4- Crafting Argument

In the fourth and final module, there are Essay #2 and the Reflective Paper. The main idea of this module was providing an argument and counterargument.

For this second essay, I connected a short story's main idea to a national reality problem. There are three paragraphs arguing the main topic, and a fourth paragraph that provides a counterargument.

Rhetorical Appeals/ Logical Fallacies In-Class Project

For this project, my group and I created an argument and counterargument on the topic of sunscreen. We gathered one quote from a source saying sunscreen was beneficial and another source saying sunscreen has negative affects.
