Students who have achieved the top minutes on khan, reflex facts correctly answered, or correct problems on Prodigy etc, have permission to eat a snack in my room every day that week. IF their name shows up on two lists, they get the blue squishy chair.- Kmo

As students are working on their AR goal I display a flip chart that has boxes 10-100 (increments of 10) and a big star for 100 and then a bigger star for 100+. Each week I run the diagnostic report that shows me what percent they are at in terms of making their AR goal. Throughout the week I call their name and they get to move their name to their spot and the class cheers for them! I also have a circle that I move to show where they should be at! This has boosted my AR results a TON!
Mercer

My kiddos receive a brag tag to go on their brag tag necklace. They can receive tags for behavior, effort, achievements, and reaching milestones such as learning how to tie shoes. I also print off Lexia reports for those students reaching the next level.

It is really hard to keep a room full of students quiet until that LAST student finishes their assessment. Before passing out an assessment, each student is given a golden "testing token" to place on the corner of their desk. This is a visual reminder that they must not talk or cause any distractions during a test. If they are able to keep the token until the last test is turned in, they are allowed to trade it in for a treat or Stallion Buck. This has really helped me keep a quiet testing environment!!!
-Steadman

I have a big AR bulletin board in my room that I move each student's bird to show how many AR points they have. As their bird moves to a new birdhouse, they receive a different incentive such as a Stallion buck, sticker, candy, extra computer time, prizes, etc.

My students each have their own progress charts/grids for doing great things. They earn checks on it by participating, having good behavior, being kind, being good leaders, trying hard at a task, etc. As they complete a row, they get a "whoop whoop" (this is 2 pats on our thighs, 2 claps, and then 2 hand raises where we say "whoop whoop") and 1 skittle or m&m. Sometimes we give a "whoop whoop" as they earn a check and praise them for what they did. When they complete an entire chart (which is about 25 checks), they get to pick from the toy box. This is full of happy meal toys I've collected over the years. After picking the toy they get to show it off to the crowd and put it in their backpack until it's time to go home. You would think they won the lottery when they complete a grid. What's great about this is that the students are just as excited for their classmates to get a prize as they are when they get one.
