This image is connected to an article that acknowledges racism. It shows a white man and black man holding a flag. We can assume that they are maybe holding a rally or protesting. They are both very much visible however the police decided to only go up to the black man. The caption says," You have a permit?". The police asks this to the black man but not the white man. This image is also followed by an article that provides evidence of arrests and how much white privilege was and still ingrained in our community. This image an article are clear examples of abolition and how much work we still have to do to end racism.

This article is an example of constraints that limit members of society from being their true selves. It is an article from our course. Andrea Long Chu, is getting surgery to change her private area. She expresses how this surgery may not let her be able to experience true happiness. She further explains her experience as a transgender and how it is being in the public eye. It is hard for her to find her place in society and find genuine happiness due to lack of acceptance . This is a common feeling for many members of the LGBTQ community. Thankfully, things have progressed and that community has a lot more rights and they have way more acceptance.

This image is most closely related to the article, "Women, Race and Class" by Angela Davis. This article focuses solely on women's inequality. White women fought for their rights against white men because they felt as thought they were getting the bad end of the stick and were not able to make decisions. They wanted to feel included and feel like they had power. During this error, white men held all the power. In addition, Black women were also fighting for their rights from slavery. Abolition was tied into women's rights. White women used slavery and black women as a why to advocate for their freedom and equal rights in a way that put their issues at the forefront. However, they were forced to also fight for black women's rights to help gain their own. This image is an example of a black and white women advocating for their rights in a similar way that a white women had to advocate for black women.
