Anyways, I was really looking forward to being in the class but a little nervous because I wasn't sure if it was really for me or not. Everything was fine at first when we were just learning cooking safety but when we got to the cooking part everything started to go downhill. So I was washing the dishes and I made one tiny mistake ( I can barely even remember what it was.) After that, the teacher started treating me like I was incompetent. This made me start to hate class and cooking and baking as a whole. One day when we were cooking in teams like we always did, my team didn't know where something was and I was the one who had to go ask. So I did and instead of just giving me what I asked for she pretty much went on about how cooking wasn't for me and how I was struggling in the class yet she never actually bothered to help me. She just gave on me, without even really giving me a chance. So you would think this would break me and I would just give up on myself, but no I wasn't going to do that. I kept practicing cooking and baking on my own after that and I got better. 

How does this relate to the theme?
This relates because even though my teacher didn't believe I was capable of cooking and baking, I still kept doing it anyway and I got better.

I even offered my neighbor to let me walk their dog. It took a lot of convincing because they thought I couldn't handle having one. After trying really hard to show I could have a dog, they finally said yes and let me have one. 

How does the relate to the theme?

She kept saying I would fail, she was hoping I would. So in response to that, I studied really hard way before the test and I kept going over questions and answers and my parents helped me. Turned out all the studying paid off and I did end up passing the test. Whenever my sister doesn't believe in me I prove her wrong. 

How does this relate to the theme?
