 Issue/Title: Why the lower Intake of Male Students in Public University?

 Background:

 

In Malaysia, the male students in public universities are currently low-represented and frequently females outperformed better than males students which then qualify them for university entrance. According to Utusan Online (2014)  the ratio of female enrolled in public universities was 69.5% or 26 030 places offered, compared to male students with only 11 437 (30%). While Malaysia can be proud of the rapid rate at which the gender disparity between men and women entering university has been closed, the presence of a reverse gender gap in our public universities raises other concerns, such as the career trajectory of the ‘missing’ boys and the potential negative impacts on crime and other social indicators.

In light of these result, we want to know the factors of lower intake of male students in universities and to identify the areas of interest towards male students.

Sport Awareness Among Students at Sultan Idris Education University 

 

Background:

The physical activity among university student is an important aspect to maintain good health. This not only prevents the various non - communicable diseases but also has role in secondary prevention of diseases. It is also proven that the growing epidemic of obesity mostly in children is linked to recent decline in physical activity levels both in home, school and working places

Issue/ Title: Accommodation Issue among UPSI student

Background:  
UPSI residential college are the accommodation for students that have many facilities and service for the sake of academic development. Beside that, these residential college provide infrastructure needs and convenience for student such as buses for transportation and ensuring the student welfare are the top grade.

Unfortunately every semester there were students were moved out from the residential college for some reason that causing those students forced o search for a place to stay nearby UPSI for the continuation of their studying. Furthermore, the issue of moving students out from the residential college receiving a lot of negative as well positive feedback among UPSI students.

Purpose: 

1. To identifiying the problems faced by studdent living on -campus and off-campus.

2. To determine the difference between living on-campus and off-campus  among UPSI students.

3. To identifiying the steps to adress the problem faced by student living on- campus and off-campus.

The ability to communicate in English as the second language enable people to interact and go through the learning process to gain knowledge as well as improved their skills. The reasons for this significant and growing gender disparity in IPTAs are still not well understood in the Malaysian context. One reason could be the academic achievement gap between boys and girls begin from a young age. The field of study in which men still outnumber women is engineering, manufacturing and construction. However, women in Malaysia have far greater representation in this field, compared with many developed nations. One Unicef report on the region found that Malaysian girls outperformed boys in all key subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science and Bahasa Malaysia.

In light of these result, we want to know the factors of lower intake of male students in universities and to identify the areas of interest towards male students.
