They can use this helpful information to drive instruction.  

When teachers conference with students, it shows them that their teacher cares about them enough to spend time with them.   Conferencing can help the teacher understand their student's needs better and can improve students' self-efficacy.  When students feel better about themselves and feel understood, they'll be less likely to act out.   Ultimately, conferencing can improve classroom culture.
