The Britsh supported this specially because they controlled the government, They will met up with them and talk about the issues of india they would also recommend a changes but overall they would have very little success.

this deal was great it would give India more political freedom BUT Britain instead began placing and creating opressive laws in the british government of India.

These laws were made to prevent radical/ extreme political changes, By the end of the war the Indian people expected these rules to be taken down and for the Indian people to have more political freedom.

The British Salt Tax: This Law would Ban India from making their own salt or selling it and would force them to buy it from the British government which was heavily taxed.

The Salt March was 240 miles long and started with 100 people it lasted 24 days as the march happened Ghandi began asking for people to join them, the  March gained huge support and by the time they arrived to Dandi they had over 50,000 people.

once the protest happpend 2,500 NON- Violent protesters were attacked by british authorities it was insane, even though the protests were peaceful many people were attacked and beaten by the british cops.

1942 Ghandi with help of the Indian National Congress launch the Quit India Movement this movement would demand India's Independence and on August 8th 1930 Ghadi gives a speech asking the indian people to act a a Independent nation  and ignore British orders.

Not even a day after the whole congress was arrested until the end of the war this cause huge protests as the speech had gain a lot of support.

The support was so huge the Armed forces began to refuse British orders they also refused to give up resources which were going to be used to recover from the war.
