https://padlet.com/sherrmann1/attitudeabouttheelderly Made with Wisdom en-us 2016-11-02 02:55:34 UTC 2016-11-02 03:17:29 UTC hello@padlet.com https://padlet-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/icons/Watchclock.png sherrmann1 https://padlet.com/sherrmann1/attitudeabouttheelderly/wish/134666933 All elderly people are different from one another.  Some older people don't seem as old as they actually are and some seem older.  It all depends on their health and the way they were raised.  Speaking from experience, I personally like the more laid back elderly people, and not the ones who try to force their elderly ways on you.  I don't believe that an “old person” can be defined as forgetful, slow, or wise because every person ages differently.  Some grow old and get suck in their ways while others keep up with society.  Some grow forgetful while others keep their mental health in tack.  For being as young as I am, I’ve met a decent amount of elderly people and each one has been different just like every young person is different.  One can be young and have an “old soul” just like one can be old and still feel young.  Because of this, I don’t think I fully practice ageism.  However, every young person, including me, has some pre-set judgements of how “old people” should be just because we are a very judgmental generation. ]]> 2016-11-02 03:00:56 UTC https://padlet.com/sherrmann1/attitudeabouttheelderly/wish/134666933
