This routine will ask students to look at their hands and objects around them and see if they can spot germs.
Students will be asked questions about germs. Questions include but are not limited to: can you see germs, do you know what germs are and how they move, what can you do to get rid of them? Answers will be written on the dry erase board for comparison after the lesson is complete. Students will look at pictures of germs and discuss ways germs can be transmitted. Students will use a magnifying glassses to look at their hands and other objects to see just how invisible germs are, which will hopefully help them understand why washing their hands is so important.
