         <description><![CDATA[<div>(1) Is it only water quantity? We need to involve quality aspects too.<br><br><br>(2) What about estuaries? One needs to have all three (hydrology, oceonography and meteorology)<br><br>(3) Bias correction is not always applied. The objective is to bring the NWP precipitation as close to reality.<br><br>(4) Tree interception is important for evaporation. A fully detailed model is complicated.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>(1) In hydrological modelling: Input from atmosphere (prec. temp), bias correction, hydrological modeling.<br>In weather and climate modelling: very few consider (maybe not successful examples) the result of water in the surface and the feedback to atmosphere.<br><br>(2) We have the same Earth and yet models differ in terms of processes and land and soil properties.<br><br>(3) Difference between weather and climate forecasting, since the science is different and the approach is different too.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Approaches are different depending on how hydrological modelling is conducted.<br>(1) Historical assessment: to understand model limitations.<br>(2) Short and medium-range and S2S forecasting: subject to historical model performance, initial hydrological conditions and NWP accuracy.<br>(3) Decadal and centential projections: need for bias correction and depends on historical model performance and GCM accuracy.</div>]]></description>
